Care 101 - Becoming the Hands and Feet of Jesus - Practical Outreach and Compassion Ministry
Learn how to care for people in our church family and community with compassion, wisdom, and the love of Jesus. This practical course explores how to listen well, recognize the pain people may be carrying, navigate difficult conversations, and build meaningful connections with those around us. Also, learn how to maintain healthy boundaries while becoming a trusted, compassionate presence in the lives of others.
Discipleship 101 - Prayer, A Spiritual Discipline for Everyone
Explore the spiritual discipline of Prayer and learn to communicate with God with confidence and joy. This course examines the biblical foundations of prayer, the Lord's Prayer, various forms of prayer found in Scripture, and practical disciplines that help believers grow in a consistent and effective prayer life. Students will gain tools for personal prayer, intercession, corporate prayer, and other types of prayer.
Discipleship 102 - Exploring Spiritual Disciplines
How do we intentionally grow in our relationship with God? Spiritual disciplines are time-tested practices that help us create space for God, deepen our relationship with Him, and become more like Jesus. In this course, students will explore a variety of spiritual disciplines and discover how practices such as prayer, Scripture, solitude, worship, service, and others can become part of a healthy and growing spiritual life. More than simply learning about these practices, students will have opportunities to experience them and begin developing rhythms that support a lifetime of discipleship.
Discipleship 103 - Sharing My Story
Grow in confidence and faithfulness as a witness for Jesus. Participants will learn a clear biblical framework for the Good News, prepare a concise personal faith story, and practice a gentle and respectful approach using Gospel of John pocket booklets.
Theology 202 - The History of Israel
Explore the remarkable story of the people and nation of Israel from the ancient biblical world to the modern day. This course traces Israel’s origins, covenant relationship with God, biblical history, dispersion, persecution, and the establishment of the modern State of Israel.
